The only thing that frightens shapeshifter Selene Rhodes more than the full moon is the idea of falling in love.
Selene Rhodes has lived her whole life with a terrible secret not only can she take the form of any animal at will, but once a month the full moon transforms her into a fierce wolf-creature without a human conscience. Managing her condition means living by a strict routine, and more importantly, abstaining from intimate relationships with human beings. Selene is convinced that love and friendship can only bring her pain.
Forensic pathologist Eve Thomas is well-acquainted with the pain of romantic love. Swearing off relationships after having her heart broken by a cheating ex, Eve throws herself into her work catching murderers. When Selene comes to her aid after an attack by a masked man in Golden Gate Park, Eve is shocked by how powerfully she is drawn to her mysterious savior.
Shaken by her own feelings for Eve, Selene is even more terrified to realize she isn’t even close to being the scariest monster stalking San Francisco. There is someone out in the city who is killing for pleasure, and his next target is the one woman he thinks might be able to stop him Eve.

I absolutely loved this book! It has everything I look for in a great fantasy/erotica romance novel. Excellent writing, beautiful romance, great since of humor, incredible (can't get enough) sex scenes, relatable characters, wonderful plot, and last but not least; a happily ever after ending. I love the two main characters, they are perfect together. Love the jealous ex (too funny) and the evil bad guy who gets everything that's coming to him. My favorite part has to be when we find out what "the wolf" is really like on full moons. If only I could have a shape shifting hotty to tote around everywhere and cuddle up to on full moon nights! Can I just say, the sex scenes are so steamy. Word for the wise, don't read this book if you have to work the next day, you won't be able to put it down, nor do you want to read it around anyone you don't want to be all hot and bothered near.Product details

I first tried the sample on this book because I didn't want to spend money on a book I might don't enjoy. Halfway through the sample I purchased the book. The opening pages of the story had hooked me. Line after line , page after page, I just kept turning the pages. I couldn't stop reading. The characters, the plot, the excitement , the mystery, there are so many great points about this book. You just really need to read it!

Loved it!
I've never read any of the current crop of paranormal romance novels. I got my fill of vampires and shape shifters in the 90's via Anne Rice, but I wanted to give "Wild" a try because I like this author.
I was very pleasantly surprised. The book had me hooked from the get go. Yes, I was left wondering how or why Selene became a shape shifter, but because this genre is new to me, I have nothing to compare it to.
I did love the empathic bond between Eve and Selene. I am usually put off by love at first sight, but in this instance it seemed authentic. Selene does not fully understand the ramifications of her true nature so the strong pull the women feel towards each other seems plausible. The fact that they fall into bed so early on also seems justified if Selene's true nature brings out the "real" Eve. At one point, both charachters seem to "get it" and they acknowlege it as being a fundimental part of their love for eachother.
Of course, in any romance, the charachters are pulled apart and in this case I was so engaged with the two women that it pulled at my heart strings.
I did feel that Eve's ex, Jac was a bit nonsensical and I found it hard to believe her reaction to Selene at the end of the book. I also found other aspects of the ending a little hard to believe, but as with most romances, you know and expect a happy ending.
I felt that all the sex scenes made sense given the unexpected nature of Selene's character and they are certainly hot.
All in all, I really enjoyed this book. It lends itself to expect a seuqel and I'm hoping that is the case.
I read this book in 8 hours as I couldn't put it down! It was awesome (and I seldom use that word)! The plot was well developed, as well as the characters. The mystery kept the pages turning, as well as the fantastic description of the blossoming relationship. Let's not even mention the sex on the pages!! WOW!
The only thing which irritated me was the incorrect use of the word, "either". If it's in a negative sentence, then the characters should be saying. "Me neither", not "Me either". That really bugged me.
Nice suspenseful plot, I enjoyed the cat and mouse game between the killer and Eve and the police. While I usually enjoy a good romantic scene, I just felt like one of the romantic scenes in this book was a little out of character for both of the main characters - one who considers herself "vanilla", and another that hasn't even been with a woman for the past 15 years. I just found it hard to believe that these two characters could jump into something as provocative as they did after not knowing each other for that long. Also, I don't really understand the strong pull Selene has to Eve so fast, because it's never happened before and there wasn't really an explanation for it. But hey, that's why it's a fiction novel. Still loved it!
Selene Rhodes is a shapeshifter who freaks out during the full moon. So every month Selene hires someone to tie her down to keep her from hurting anyone. Then Selene meets a sexy woman who breaks through all of her emotional barriers and Selene has to figure out a new way to deal with her inner monster.
I didn't dislike this book. I just wasn't impressed. The premise was cool, but I thought the main character stopped short of being truly dangerous. In my humble opinion, chicks who turn into wolves should be badasses. If they're all emo and huggy then they should turn into kittens. To be fair, in this book Selene can turn into anything she wants. I happen to think a kitten is a good choice for her.
The rest of the story is about a serial killer stalking a forensic doctor and I was ambivalent about that, too. It wasn't horrible, it was just okay. There was some basic misinformation about DNA collection that could have been cleared up with a tiny bit of research, but whatever.
I liked that the author didn't follow some pre-existing werewolf formula for her urban fantasy. Selene is unique, and I appreciate that. I also liked the book's erotic scenes. Those were screaming, smoking hot! The rest of the novel wasn't as enjoyable for me. Maybe if Selene had been a little tougher, a little more kickass, I'd have had more fun with it. But sadly, Selene is a kinder, gentler monster. Sadly.
